In 2014, Panama will reach a momentous milestone—the 100th anniversary of the Panama Canal. Noted as one of the seven wonders of the modern world, the Canal is not only an economic pillar in Central America—it is an essential engine for international trade, providing a link between east and west, and fueling commerce between Europe and Asia. Panama’s continuing expansion is anticipated to have an impact on the global business community—exemplifying connectivity across continents and industries.
The Wharton Global Forum Panama
With the support of our corporate and individual sponsors, Wharton is coming to Panama. Keeping in mind the Panama Canal’s enduring influence and the country’s emerging position in the world marketplace, the Wharton Global Forum Panama will leverage the thought leadership of Wharton’s renowned faculty and the expertise of international business leaders to examine topics related to the theme Connectivity.
Through master classes, keynotes, panel discussions and round-tables, attendees will explore Connectivity at many levels, delving into topics corresponding to the interrelated nature of today’s dynamic international business environment.
